HOW WE’VE PARTNERED WITH ONE EARTH

Untitled

Leading up to the creation of the Climate Lab, we partnered with One Earth and their Climate Solutions Taxonomy, which indexes 75 solution categories based on peer-reviewed scientific literature organized across three broad pillars of action - energy transition, nature conservation, and regenerative agriculture. With these tools of visualizing the field, we learned where to focus our search for Lab applicants.

During the applicant review process, One Earth delved into the essence of top applicants through the lens of our Solutions Taxonomy. Their experts scrutinized candidates against the formidable backdrop of the three core pillars: Energy Transition, Nature Conservation, and Regenerative Agriculture, as well as their respective sub-pillars, and the intersectional themes and and levers of change.

One Earth's analysis proved to be an invaluable resource for our selection committee, offering profound insights into the strengths and challenges of each applicant, as well as their true impact and potential of their work. We are profoundly grateful for the privilege of collaborating with such a distinguished partner, whose profound expertise and unwavering dedication to scientific rigor undeniably elevated our selection process.

ABOUT ONE EARTH

Untitled

One Earth is a nonprofit organization working to accelerate collective action to solve the climate crisis through groundbreaking science, inspiring media, and an innovative approach to climate philanthropy.

The solutions for the climate crisis already exist, and the latest science led by One Earth shows we can achieve the critical 1.5°C goal through our **three pillars of collective action:**

ENERGY TRANSITION // A just transition to 100% renewable energy

NATURE CONSERVATION // Protection and restoration of half of the world’s lands and oceans

REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE // A shift to net-zero food and fiber systems

The goals of the three pillars of action may sound daunting, but millions of people and organizations worldwide are already driving this transformative change. With proper resources and support, these efforts can quickly build momentum and play a critical role in solving the climate crisis in time.

THE SOLUTIONS FRAMEWORK

Untitled

The One Earth Solutions Framework indexes 75 solution pathways based on peer-reviewed scientific literature organized across three broad pillars of collective action—energy transition, nature conservation, and regenerative agriculture. This framework is how we organize the universe of possible levers to achieve the Paris Climate Agreement goals, limiting global temperature rise to no more than 1.5°C and returning to 1.4°C or lower by 2100.
