ASHLEA
- Begin taking your motion sickness pills / using the patch ONE day before embark (Tuesday).
- Use sunscreen daily!
- If you’re someone who is impacted by overestimation but don’t want to be a hermit in your room, pack headphones to walk the ship.
- Pack earplugs if you’re a light sleeper!
- Be sure to be kind and express gratitude to the crew members serving the ship and its guests.
- Pack your bags on Saturday morning so you can fully enjoy the final day and night aboard the ship, avoiding the need to rush to pack on Sunday morning before disembarkation.
- Use the Summit One app to discover who else is on the ship and don't hesitate to reach out to someone you'd like to connect with!
- Summit at Sea, like any journey, offers a great opportunity to embody and practice the person you aspire to be. Seize it!
- Don't miss out on the breathtaking sunsets and sunrises.
- Let's all do our part to reduce food waste—order intentionally, knowing you can always request more if you're hungry.
- Bring along your favorite scent, whether it's an essential oil or perfume, to help ground you during busy events.
- Don't forget your moisturizer - face, body, alladat.
- For my natural hair friends - it goes without saying but protective, low-maintenance styles are ideal. It’s hot & humid and ikyk what that means.
JORDAN
While I haven’t been to a Summit at Sea, here’s what I’ve learned going to multiple Summit Flagship events.
- Decide to follow joy. It’s no fun to try to keep up with other people. There are too many of them. So, just let your heart lead the way and give into the experience.
- Say yes, and then say yes again. Of course, take all the time you need to care for yourself, but push yourself out of your comfort zone too. Say yes to things you wouldn’t normally do. Dance party? Yes. Hypnotism? Yes. Impromptu poker game with strangers? Yes. It’s all about the connections. And the best way to me them is to say yes.
- Swap information. Do not be afraid to ask for people’s contact info. Or social media. Whatever. Just ask for the best way to stay connected and then do it. Follow up with folks. I met a group of 5 people at my first flagship, and we still chat regularly on WhatsApp. They are some of my favorite people.
